After realising my physicality as well as my appearance was being affected by how I was sleeping, I bought every ‘quality’ pillow I could get my head down on. None of them delivered on their promises of better sleep.

So I set out to reinvent the pillow.

After a decade of refining over 20 prototypes, working closely with healthcare professionals, beauty experts, and manufacturers, and conducting numerous studies, our pillows are now elevating the sleep and wellbeing of thousands of Hyoumankinders.

My innovation journey

My lightbulb moment

I was away with friends when I realised there was an opportunity to completely rethink the concept of a pillow.

The journey begins

I embarked on a ten-year journey, collaborating with healthcare professionals, beauty experts, and manufacturers, while conducting multiple studies—all with the purpose of engineering the perfect pillow for sleep.

Product development

The kitchen bench became my lab; my kids become my first ‘customers’.

The Everywhere Pillow

The design ensures proper alignment, preventing you from rolling out of position throughout the night. This supports a more restful, uninterrupted sleep.

The name 'Hyoumankind'

I was clear I wanted a business born to deliver more care and kindness into our world by creating innovative products that improve the comfort of humankind.

How we treasure our customers

All Hyoumankind pillows are made in New Zealand to the highest quality, and hyoumankinders - as we love to call our customers, are treated as lifelong friends.

With every pillow order, we tuck in the gift of a rose quartz crystal. This precious crystal is known to purify and open the heart, to make room for love, self-love and feelings of peace.
